    In Scottish judo, up to age 16 you earn ‘mon’ grades. 1-3 mon = red, 4-6 mon = yellow, 7-9 mon = orange, 10-12 mon = green, 13-15 mon = blue, 16-18 mon = brown. When you get to 16 you have to start over with kyu grades.

    The correct spelling is Kata Guruma, the meaning in translation is “Shoulder wheel”.

    Kata has a doubling meaning, Form & Shoulder.

    Guruma means wheel.

    Thats it for my little bit of information.

    the throw at 00:15 seconds in this video looked like what was a modified kata garuma
    “kata” means “form” and “garuma” means “wheel”
    so put together i think it means form wheel and not sure its a sacrifice but i’ll ask my instructor tonight.

    he actually did a rear sacrifice throw for an ippon sacrifice throws are never your friend and theres a katagaruma(dont know if i spelled that right) in there but from the kneeling position awesome.
